At TCR, we assist individuals in poverty on the path to long-term and stable employment. Our work skills training prepares participants with the skills they’ll need on the job. And through internship opportunities, job search assistance, and employment placement services, we work with participants to find meaningful employment. Our coaches provide one-on-one support, partnering with participants for a year after they’ve landed their new jobs. We focus on long term results – with 81% of our graduates staying at their jobs after one year, our 12-month job retention rates are nearly twice the national average.

Our curriculum goes beyond teaching – through our signature Personal Empowerment program, we provide transformative change, fostering self-confidence and self-reliance.

Along with our comprehensive, work skills training program, Twin Cities R!SE offers:

Reentry Connect, a program designed to improve the long-term educational and workforce prospects of adults who have been previously incarcerated. Participants receive personal empowerment training and work with a Reentry Connect case manager to develop their career goals and pathways.

Reentry Connect participants have an one year recidivism rate of 11% compared to the national average rate of 56%.

Before Victor came to Twin Cities R!SE, he was homeless, or as he would describe it, couch hopping, staying with friends and looking for work. However, he was was job searching without a phone, a mailing address, or transportation. One of his friends told him about TCR on a Friday, and by Monday, he had enrolled.

" The Personal Empowerment classes were most helpful to me. They taught me how to own my choices in life and to be confident."

Eight months ago, Victor began working as a high level office coordinator,a position that he would have never applied for without his Twin Cities R!SE training. He now has an apartment to call his own, reliable transportation, and is taking on-line college courses! Victor is earning a family sustaining wage, with full benefits and continually working towards higher goals.

"TCR was the fast track to improving my circumstances. There are so many people that need the support and services that Twin Cities R!SE offers." ~ Victor, TCR Grad
